    IT IS THE TIME OF YEAR WHEN WE NOINATE OUR OUTSTANDING CHAMBER MEMBERS, BUSINESSES AND CITIZEN OF THE YEAR. BELOW IS THE CRITERIA FOR THE AWARDS AND LINK FOR THE NOMINATION FORM.

    riteria for Annual Awards

    Chamber Member of the Year

    Chamber Business of the Year

    Citizen of the Year

    New Member of the Year

    Community Improvement Award

    Heritage Award

     

    Chamber Member of the Year - Presented to an individual member of the Chamber who has dedicated himself/herself to serving the Chamber and its members through commitment of time, talent and resources.  This individual actively carries out the Chamber’s Mission Statement of advancing the economic, commercial, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the Southwest Community.

    Chamber Business of the Year - Presented to the Company that supports the Chamber through its involvement and resources.  This company actively carries out the Chamber’s Mission Statement of advancing the economic, commercial, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the Southwest Community.

    New Member of the Year – Presented to an individual who has been in the Chamber for two years or less and who has become actively involved in the Chamber.

     

    The above three award recipients, as members of the Chamber, should actively carry out the Chamber’s Mission Statement of advancing the economic, commercial, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the Southwest Area Chamber Community.

    Citizen of the Year - Presented to an individual for his/her outstanding dedication and commitment through unselfish service toward the betterment of the community.  Chamber membership is not required of this individual.

    Community Improvement Award - Presented to the business that has made the most significant improvement to expand or upgrade its physical appearance or to transform a piece of derelict or run-down property into a viable, useful space in the community.  The property must be located within the geographical boundaries of the Southwest Area Chamber community and the improvement must be completed before it can be submitted for this award.  Chamber membership is not required.

    Heritage Award – Presented to a long-standing business or organization in the Southwest Area Chamber community who deserves recognition for having had an extended impact on the economy of the community over a period of many years.  Chamber membership is not required.  This award is not necessarily an annual award.
